About Liverpool
A UNESCO World Heritage City, Liverpool is renowned for its strong maritime history and passion for music, the arts, culture and sport. It has one of the finest collections of museums, galleries and theatres than any other UK city outside London, as well as two cathedrals, and holds the Guinness Book of Records title of Capital of Pop. Liverpool enjoyed unprecedented success as European Capital of Culture in 2008, which played a vital role in raising the profile of the city on a global scale. It continues to experience big changes but retains its quirky character and unrivalled charm for which it is internationally famous.

We recommend you bring light clothing but also prepare for cooler weather, as well as an umbrella in case of rain. Although there are plenty of buses and taxis, Liverpool is a good city for walking, so comfortable footwear is also recommended.
